THE SOVEREIGN SELF

YOGA & SELF LEADERSHIP RETREAT

May 6 - 9 2027

Hossegor, France

Ground. Rise. Lead.

May 6th – 9th, 2027 - HOSSEGOR, FRANCE

Sovereignty is the capacity to lead and build the life you dream of, without the limitations of the mind or the circumstances of the outside world.

It begins with a simple question: why? And with it begins the journey of Svādhyāya, self-inquiry.

It grows when we know our values. When our actions follow what we believe. When we keep the promises we make to ourselves.

Yoga has always been a path of self-leadership. Before āsana, before breath, even before meditation, Patañjali offers the Yamas and Niyamas: values lived as action. From them comes Tapas, the inner fire that turns a vision into reality.

Through discipline and softness, through inquiry and action, through practice and community, confidence becomes something we live, and it grows day after day.

The Sovereign Self is a four-day retreat designed to help you clarify, or perhaps re-establish, your values, desires and dreams, awaken your inner fire and step into your life with confidence and peace. Through the practices of Jivamukti Yoga, meditation, pranayama, kriyas, chanting, journaling and self-inquiry, and a dedicated workshop on the Yoga and Self-leadership, we explore what it means to lead ourselves with awareness and rooted confidence.

We will also meet our inner fire through the body, in a guided breathwork and cold plunge session: an invitation to breathe through intensity, stay present, and discover how much strength and calm already live within us.

Set in a clearing in the Landes pine forest, a few minutes from the ocean, with a yoga room open to the trees, a sauna and a cold bath, this retreat invites you to root, to rise, and to choose consciously the life you want to continue creating.

Join us for four days of yoga, inquiry, nature, inner fire and community.

L'AIRIAL DU BRANASSE

Deep in the pine forest, the trees part to open onto a clearing. In the old Landes tongue, this is an airial: a place made for light. Branasse means living among the ferns.

Here, five hectares of pines and ferns cradle a small hamlet of five buildings, where the old walls of 1850 meet clean, contemporary design. Mornings smell of resin and sound like birdsong. Ten minutes away, the beaches and surf spots of Seignosse and Hossegor open onto the wide Atlantic horizon.

At the heart of our days is the shala: seventy square metres of light, with tall windows that bring the forest right to the edge of your mat. Between practices, a heated 25-metre pool, an outdoor sauna and a cold plunge await among the trees, along with terraces made for resting, reading, or simply listening.

Every bedroom looks out onto the forest. Dressed in brick, wood and natural tones, with wide windows, each has its own bathroom, some with a bathtub, others with a generous walk-in shower. Some are cosy, some more spacious, and all are made for deep rest.

A place to slow down, breathe, and come home to yourself.

THE PROGRAM

Four days. Four movements. One path, from intention to action.

Root. We arrive and settle into the clearing, rooted and open like the pines. Ahiṃsā and śauca: kindness and clarity as our ground.

Inquire. We ask why. Through svādhyāya and the Yamas and Niyamas, we discover the values that are truly ours.

Rise. We kindle tapas, the inner fire, through strong practice, breathwork and the cold plunge. Courage, felt from the inside.

Lead. With santoṣa and īśvara praṇidhāna, we shape what we have found into a daily practice and return home as the authors of our own lives.

Because we always have the choice. And every conscious choice is an act of sovereignty.
